Daniel McDonald

Oxford University

Daniel McDonald is a postdoctoral fellow in the Faculty of History and St Antony’s College affiliated with the Latin American Centre at the University of Oxford. He received his PhD in Latin American and Caribbean history from Brown University. His research has been supported by a Fulbright-Hayes DDRA Fellowship, the Tinker Foundation, and fellowships from Harvard University and the University of Rochester. His current book project, Peripheral Citizenship, is under contract with the University of California Press and examines Catholic grassroots movements in the urban periphery of São Paulo, Brazil. Presently, he is conducting research for a new book project on the Catholic Church and the global Cold War in Latin America.
