
Jacopo Pili is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, where he is Project Manager of the ITHACA Project, funded by the European Commission within the HORIZON2022 scheme. His research focuses on humanitarianism, cultural and military history in the first half of the Twentieth Century. He has recently published his first book, Anglophobia in Fascist Italy, (Manchester University Press, 2022), and articles on humanitarian diplomacy during the Second World War: Catholic Clergy of Italian Nationality in the British Middle East, ‘Journal Ecclesiastical History,’ pp.1-21, and Il dialogo tra Vaticano e Comitato Internazionale della Croce Rossa sulla questione dei prigionieri di guerra (1939-1944), ‘Italia contemporanea,’ 2024/304, pp.1-27.
