
Research Fellow, Collegium Carolinum Munich
Marion Dotter studied history and German linguistics at the University of Vienna. She has contributed to several research projects in the fields of legal and economic history in Vienna, Graz, and Linz. Between 2018 and 2021 she was a research assistant for the joint Austro-German research project “The Emperor’s desk” at the Collegium Carolinum in Munich. In November 2021 she defended her PhD thesis on “Habsburg Ennoblements and Nobility during the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I” at LMU Munich. Her research interests include the ecclesiastical and administrative history of Italy, Austria and Eastern Europe in the 19th and 20th century. From 2022 onwards, Marion Dotter will pursue a new book project on Pius XII and the Cold War.
